![]() No clue why that is, or who would set it up. This novel's Tower/dungeon is to "become a god once you climb to the top". Even "Reincarnator" was setup as a pointless game by a sick god that just wanted to see deathmatches between different races/species. If it was well put together that might've been fine, but.Īll the other dungeon crawler novels had a raison d'être for the dungeons' existence. "The Tutorial is Too Hard" (2016), "Reincarnator" (2015), "Everyone Else is a Returnee" (2016), "The King of the Battlefield" (2016), "Main Character Hides his Strength" (2016).Įven the revenge component isn't new, done in "The King of the Battlefield". There are typical factional wars/politicking among tower climbers, and there's probably going to be some bigger mystery for all this, but for the moment it's all been done to death in previous novels. Very average Korean dungeon-crawler novel written in 2017. But unlike what one would expect, that is not the case as the protagonist just so happens to have an item that makes all the gods/demons want to suck his toes and clean his foot fungus immediately just to obtain a small yet useless part of it. ![]() With these two combined, you would expect them to be harder to manipulate compared to the large clans. Mind you, these gods/demons are omniscient as they look down from the 98th floor as well as having long lifespans. Compared to manipulating the large clans, manipulating the gods is just a piece of cake. ![]() But with the gods/demons, he's like an adult who is offering candy to children. ![]() While manipulating the large clans, he's a mastermind hiding in the shadows watching his schemes create chaos. But what isn't acceptable is how he manipulates the gods/demons. After all, there are many opponents while the protagonist only has a small force with little influence. It's understandable that the protagonist uses manipulation to take revenge against the large clans. ![]()
